I never thought I'd see this book again. I had left it behind in our old base when we left to the Board. You may be wondering who I am, and why William Dawson isn't here. The Nightlanders, or the "Darkness", as they're refered to in this book, dealt with him. They weren't to happy about him defiling the tome. They've carried him off. He's most likely dead now. As for my identity, I am the thief king Abdalin, the Black Joker. I have come to collect what's mine. And now I must leave. The Game Master has need of me.

The Game Master

I've finished reading the diary. The ending is... odd.

Na'an took a new title; The Game Master. He brought the members of his guild to a new world called the Board. And that's it. There's nothing left in the diary.

I have to keep moving. The Darkness hasn't given up its chase.

The Darkness Is Real

The shadows attacked me yesterday. I was just getting off the plane after arriving in America again. It was late at night, so I couldn't see them at first. But then they struck. They rose from the ground and flew toward me. I ran as fast as I could. I managed to escape.

The most frightening thing is that the description the diary gives of the God known as The Darkness is exactly like the shadow that attacked me.

The events in this diary are real. All the more reason to keep reading it.

Na'an led the guild of thieves in a resistance against the Carved Empress, and in the end they were free of her. Na'an continued to gain power over time, and even offered some to Abdalin and Cleopatra, making them his "Jokers". The allied themselves with the Gods known as the Stranger (A faceless being), the Storming Skyborn (A flock of birds with control over lightning and thunder), the Professor (a blind man who possesses seemingly infinite knowledge), the Guide (An all-seeing woman, who appears to be the woman with knives for fingers who showed them the plagues), and the Bleeding Lust (a woman who seems to embody sexual desires). There's only a few pages left. I'm going to keep moving, and translate them all later.

Na'an

I'm farther into the diary. It seems that the thieves guild continues serving the Carved Empress after the plagues conclude. At one point, they make a deal with the Angel of Chaos to resurrect Cleopatra and make her join the guild. William then leaves the guild in order to study in the library of someone called the Professor. In his absence, the Darkness invades the guild and takes the lives of many thieves. Abdalin escapes with as many of his fellow thieves as he can, including Cleopatra. After several years, the Darkness comes for them again, but William returns, under the title of Na'an, and fights the Darkness off. Na'an explains that the Gods of Darkness had granted him new power, which he had used to give birth to the shadow games. He is then made leader of the guild.

I need to read farther. This is truly interesting.

The shadows will soon eclipse everything.

This Diary Is Fascinating

It's written by a thief king named Abdalin, and his accomplice, William. I wasn't even aware the name William existed back then, and I find it a rather interesting coincidence that we have the same first name. He talks about seeing a beautiful woman with swords for fingers, who reveals  to him that the man Moses had been employed by the Gods Of Darkness, and they would soon be entering the world to create 10 disasters. The Plagues. Well, this contradicts basically everything I've ever learned.

The first God to appear was the Bleeding Lust, who replaced the water with the blood of her servants.

The second God was the Living Sea, who took control of all the frogs in the land, turning them into the Camper, and then sent them to fall upon the land.

The third God was the Swarm, who sent a hoard of lice and gnats across Egypt.

The Hound Of Destruction arrived afterwards, and, together with the Swarm, unleashed a mass flies and evil canines.

The fifth God was the King Of Illness, who caused disease to the livestock. He then turned his attention to the humans, giving them boils and sores all over their bodies.

Then the Frozen Orphan and the Storming Skyborn used their combined power to cover Egypt in thunderstorms and hail.

Then the Swarm returned to unleash the plague of locust.

Then the Darkness came and eclipsed the sun.

The final Gods to appear were the Stranger and the Angel Of Chaos, who murdered the firstborns of Egypt.

Abdalin and William watch this happening from afar, keeping each other safe. They were under the protection of a woman made of wood, who they referred to as the Carved Empress.

The Gods of Darkness. The Heralds of the Plagues. The Bleeding Lust, the Living Sea, the Swarm, the Hound Of Destruction, the King of Illness, the Frozen Orphan, the Storming Skyborn, the Darkness, the Stranger, and the Angel Of Chaos. They were the cause of the plagues.

I'm also curious about the Carved Empress and the woman with swords for fingers. I'm not quite finished with the book yet, but I'm hoping it'll have some more answers.

The shadows grow closer.

The Papyrus Diary

The ruins we found seem to be the resting place of a clan of Egyptian thieves. The place was perfect. Not a speck of dust anywhere. The hieroglyphs were in perfect condition as well, not faded at all. I did get some weird vibes from the place, though. The lighting was awful, and the shadows actually looked like they were alive. Creeped me the hell out.

I found a tome made of papyrus. I don't know what came over me, but I shoved it in my bag without informing the rest of the team. I wanted it. I felt the book belonged with me. I'm gonna try to translate it. I can tell by the first page that it was someone's diary.

I'm gonna call the hotel maintenance real quick. I think there's something wrong with the lamp, because it keeps casting weird shadows. Kind of like when I was in the ruins.

Party Time!

My name is William Dawson and I am an Egyptologist. My group and I just uncovered some ruins, and are currently celebrating our discovery. We'll begin a thorough investigation of the ruins tomorrow. We hope to uncover more knowledge or artifact from ancient Egypt within. I'll be using this blog to record our findings.

Also, I know my blogger profile says "Bill the escapologist". That's because spell-check sucks, and I'm sorry abot that. I don't know if it's too late to fix it now, but I'll see if I can once I'v sobered up.
